A regal Bald Eagle looks to be pretty curious about the shutterbug taking its picture. From my Christmas Eve morning photo excursion. This beautiful creature was standing tall and proud surveying its domain when it seemed to take great interest in me. I of course was solely focused on it.
This particular eagle has become a fixture over the last couple of weeks in one of my favorite spots, hanging out on the utility poles in rural Adams County, Colorado.
Certainly I wish for better perches in my pictures than poles but as those that have been to the plains know, there simply aren’t that many trees out here. As a result, raptors use the next best thing to keep watch from on high. Have a great weekend, everyone!
