Well, what else did you expect me to post today? Of course it is a bald eagle!
Taken back at the end of February at one of my favorite winter eagle hot spots. The day had been pretty quiet and had me working harder than normal to get some captures. I had just wasted my time hiking a good ways toward some uncooperative eagles when this gorgeous one appeared out of nowhere.
I quickly pointed my camera and snapped dozens of images as it approached and flew 20 feet over my head. So beautiful and majestic! Those crystal clear skies of the eastern Colorado plains really made this beauty “pop.”
