Posting a picture of our national emblem on this day when we honor those who have served this great nation simply makes sense.
Taken a couple of weeks ago, the sun was just popping over the horizon as this beautiful eagle made a flyby. The rising sun beautifully lit it up, casting its head, tail and wing in a golden light and putting a nice glint in the eye.
I had the honor of wearing this nation’s uniform in the Navy and it was a duty that I am proud of. During that time I served with many amazing men and women, all of whom exemplified the very best of this country. To them, and to all others who served, happy Veterans Day, shipmates.
