Check out those wings! Holy moly!
This is the female at a bald eagle nest that I visit and she is simply beautiful and amazing. This past weekend I spent some time with the lovely couple and they put on a nice little show.
The male headed off to parts unknown and after a while, the female decided she too wanted a change of scenery. As she launched, she stretched those massive wings high, giving me this nice capture.
It does a nice job showcasing a bald eagle’s impressive six to seven foot wingspan and a great shot for Freedom Friday. I would expect here soon she will be far more restricted in her movement and hunkered down at the nest sitting on eggs.
