This gorgeous eagle is actually the same one I posted this morning. After it let me get some pictures of it posing, it took flight giving me a great view with nice light and those always beautiful Colorado blue skies behind it.
It actually had a mission in mind when it took place – thievery!
As I watched it flew to the far side of a pond and snatched a fish from the ground that another bird had captured. Unfortunately at that point I was looking into the sun and it was too great of a distance to see what kind of bird it stole from. Whatever it was didn’t look big enough to be another eagle. Perhaps just a gull.
