Regal Bald Eagle strikes a classic pose

With no natural enemies (other than man) and being the king of the skies, Bald Eagles almost seem to know they are the ‘top dogs’. They position themselves bravely, high in trees, oftentimes quite exposed, knowing they have little to fear.

I sometimes think they must be saying to themselves, “Yeah, I’m cool and I know it.” 😉 This particular adult was almost exuding that attitude as it sat proudly at Cherry Creek State Park, Colorado this past February.

Have a great weekend!
