Oh my goodness! I am absolutely in love with this pic – and to think I didn’t realize that I had captured this gem.
Over the past few weeks, I have taken literally thousands of images of my favorite photo subject, bald eagles. A little pond that was thawing out had a bevy of fish in it that the eagles had taken note of. As many as 10 eagles at a time actively fished this little area and many late afternoons I was sitting, watching and photographing.
I took so many pics, sorting through all of them became quite a chore and I admit, I rushed through them. On a second pass through my images this week, this image drew my attention and I think you can see why. The late, soft light illuminated the bald eagle brilliantly and the pose, well, you couldn’t hardly ask for a more dramatic one.
